Public Domain Library

When a book enters the public domain, the world gains a reason to celebrate.

What is the Public Domain Library?

The Public Domain Library is a digital collection of timeless literary treasures, curated to celebrate and share the world’s cultural heritage. Our mission is to make public-domain works accessible to all, fostering a love for literature, history, and art across generations.

Works in the public domain are no longer protected by copyright, allowing anyone to freely read, share, and build upon them. These treasures belong to everyone and provide a gateway to understanding our collective history and culture.

Our growing collection currently includes 30 carefully selected works, spanning classic literature and historical texts. We are dedicated to expanding this library with titles from around the world, starting with public-domain works in French and other languages.

We invite you to explore, enjoy, and share the works in our collection. Have a suggestion for a title you'd like to see? Let us know—this library is a community effort, and your voice matters.
